Captain Jim Browning’s Flight Cap, 60 years later!

Clarence Petry contacted me and asked if there were any relatives of 357th FG pilot Jim Browning still alive. Clarence was the crew chief on P-51 “Junior Miss” that Jim Browning flew on the mission in which he was killed in action over Germany. Jim had given his flight cap to Clarence to keep until he retuned from the mission. 60 years later, I put in him contact with Lois McPhail, Jim’s sister. Clarence sent the hat and nice letter below to Lois. This is an amazing story and we thank Clarence for sharing the story and hat with us and Jim’s family.
